I am a Web Developer.
Ever since The Internet emerged I have been at the forefront of all the surrounding concepts and technologies. This is not only my job, but my passion.
Professionally I worked in New York City as a Web Developer for over 5 years. Then in April 2007 I moved to Tokyo because of my interest in Japanese culture, to gain valuable international experience, and to fulfill my goal of learning a second language. I studied Japanese full-time in Tokyo until April 2009, while doing freelance web development part-time. Since then I have been employed at a large asset management firm in Tokyo continuing my web development career.
In addition to development I have always had an eye for design and an interest audio/video. I have completed many self-training courses and worked on freelance projects in these areas. With the convergence of traditional media and The Internet, I feel that branching out into these disciplines makes my skill-set unique and valuable for today's business needs, and will continue to be relevant as the scope of Internet technologies continue to expand.
Although I am a self-admitted computer nerd, I work best in teams and have strong communication and leadership skills. My previous management experience, employers, and business relationships will attest to this.
Current Employment Status: Full-time contract in Tokyo, but always looking for exciting opportunities
